Our hearts are heavy with the news of your passing. It is difficult to find the words to express our sincere gratitude to the man who helped guide our family through the most difficult time of our lives. Your patience, carrying, sincerity and professionalism are without parallel. We will always be eternally gratefully for your tireless efforts that made our son a success. We hope your family and friends can find some solace in knowing that you helped so many children and their families in your short life … especially one little boy from Kansas.

Our hearts are so sad to hear the news of Dr. Carlos' passing. Our son was diagnosed in March of 2010 with Retinoblastoma and Dr. Carlos was a huge part of his care (and ours as well). He will truly be missed. Prayers to his family and all those he touched.

Carlos, you will be truly missed. You gave so much to so many people. But most of all you gave your love to Alexis, who is so special. But you knew that. Always in my prayers
