My sincere thanks to all who were part of my mom's life and supported mom and our families in time of need. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I wish I could have attended the viewing and service to thank everyone in person but a health issue did not allow me to be there.

Jerry, how fortunate for so many to have been on this earth with you. I, all, will have the fondest memories of wisdom, humor, making the best from what direction took, strength of faith. A substantial person through thick and thin, of which, Jerry, you saw much too much thin. Everyone around you was more important than yourself. Problems, serious setbacks, disasters were overcome by you with the subtle, keep it real, stay between the lines, I'll fix it outlook that seemed to work. Mentor: it also worked for me, KISS.
Over the years, Jerry and I kept in touch (63, to be exact), bounced info on relatives on both ends as to new children, passings of friends and family. In later years, reminiscing about all the family holidays, get-togethers, family history (and what a history!).
We spoke last in Sept. 2007, not thinking of the 'don't make a plan' docturn, about putting together all our historic info. and documents together and making a family get-together as we weren't getting any younger, at which point Jerry reminded me that she used to change my diaper! Maybe this is where I got the one-liner mentality from? Worked for Jerry, works for me.
What doesn't work is getting my head around the void that you left. Time, perspective, many great memories will blend with all the others before you.
You will be in my thoughts, Jerry. Rest.

She was the best mommom ever... when my sisters & I were younger, she loved us unconditionally but never took any bologna. I remember playing darts in her basement, walking to the gas station for candy, making plastic bottle wind vanes, going to the park, playing with the piano, our shared birthday cakes at mom's & the "going off to college" basket she put together for me. She is going be deeply missed, but never forgotten...

Geri you were such a great friend

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful daughter Irene with me. She gave me a wonderful grandson and I will always consider her a very special part of my life. I hope that is some very small way, I can fill in a little for you, and that she will call on me for help, comfort, or just to be a friend and confident.

I hold fond memories of you Geri; our great lunches (we should have had more), our cruise to New England, and our Saturday morning chats.

Say hi to my Bill, Kirk and Josh and all our other loved ones up there.

See ya,

Love, Barby
