Claire Ritzheimer Obituary

Ritzheimer Claire M. Age 96, passed away on July 23, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband James. He was truly the love of her life and she has missed him dearly since his passing in 2023. They shared 73 years of marriage and together they raised 10 children. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Rasmus and Otillia Rasmus (Schnell). Predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Parker. For many years she volunteered as a Nursing Home Activities Aide. Additionally, she served as a Eucharistic Minister visiting Nursing Homes well into her 90's. She is survived by her children Kathleen Caffarella (Frank), Claire Diringer (Michael), James (Carol), Joseph (Carole), Robert, George, Patricia Messer (Paul), Stephen (Susan), Thomas and predeceased by her loving son, John (Corinne). She was the Grandmother of 17 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren and proudly displayed the photos of them all which covered the entire side of her refrigerator. Relatives and friends are invited to call Tues, July 29th from 10 A.M. to 11A.M. at the Maternity BVM Church, 9220 Old Bustleton Ave., Phila., PA 19115. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11 A.M. Interment will be held privately at Washington's Crossing National Cemetery. Galzeranofh.com
