I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Winkel's passing. I was a medical assistant at Jefferson Hospital in the OB/GYN Reproductive Department. I absolutely loved working with him. He was such a kind and compassionate person. He was serious about the patient care. He had a great sense of humor! I learned much from him. May he continue to rest in the peace of our LORD!

For the past 23 years I thought of Dr. Winkel. I thought about writing him to tell him how he changed my life. I was told I would never have children, lost my first husband because of it. Dr Winkel changed all that with his unbelievable skill and knowledge. I was a patient at Jefferson. Thanks to him I have a 23 and 20 year old and a wonderful husband. He and God made the impossible, possible. I am not sure why today I finally looked up his name...I am saddened at this news that such a giving man was taken too soon. But I hope the family can see this post and how deeply his work effected his patients. Thank you Dr Winkel from my whole heart and Rest In Peace knowing all the wonderful lives you touched.

I was a patient of Dr. WInklel at Jefferson. He gave me my life back after years of suffering with endometriosis. I have two children and a relatively pain free life due to his care and compassion. He was a great doctor and an even nicer person. I thought about through the years thinking what a blessing it had been to have him as my doctor. Please accept my deepest sympathies for your lost.

With sadness I learned of Craig's passing. However it was a joy to see him at our Landon Class of '64 50th reunion in November 2014. I shall remember our time together as classmates. He lived an admirable life, and may God receive His servant Craig.

I feel lucky to count Craig as one of the most influential people in my life. A mentor, colleague and friend who could always be counted upon for support, honesty, and optimism. I will miss his advice, humor and company, as infrequent as it was in recent years. My heartfelt condolences to Roy and his family.

I was shocked to learn of Dr. Winkel's passing today. I was honored to have known him at Georgetown both as a nurse in the Perinatal Unit and as a nurse practitioner in the faculty practice. Thank you Dr. Winkle for all of your guidance and support to me as a new nurse practitioner. I think of you often - you will be missed.

It was a shock to learn of Craig's passing. Craig's picture graces the corridor in the Department of Ob/Gyn at Georgetown University Hospital. His warm open smile greets us daily. Seeing his face reminds me of what a caring, understanding, and gentle man he was. Knowing him made a significant difference in my own life; he was my mentor, guide, and friend. He will be missed.
