So sorry to hear of Dave's passing. We had many adventures early in his career working for Video East on ESPN events. One was a week in Florida in February 1980 to do the first bowling show ever for ESPN in Jacksonville, then over to Tampa for an indoor soccer game and more bowling. With a day off Dave wanted to stop at Disney World. I had a blast, as it was like taking a 6'4" six year old through the park!
We knew he was going to be a star early, when on a lacrosse telecast Dave moved in with the heavy TK-76 camera to a team huddle on a time out. Then the camera slowly lifted up until it was looking down into the huddle. Dave was holding it high above his head with one hand.
What a talent, and what a wonderful guy.
