I knew David in so many different places from Sunoco to the Catalyst group and UOP and then in his more recent "new careers" in career and transition assistance. He was a wonderful guy who was genuine in his interest in others. In fact, David and Linda were the first couple to welcome me and my wife, Penny, when Penny first attended a CDMA meeting. Their friendship was much appreciated.
He was a tireless worker for organizations he supported and even just a few weeks ago was pushing me to attend a ChemPharma event. The last time we talked about his health was some time ago and he always talked about his early miracle and 15 minutes of fame on the evening news. I was unaware of his recurring battle and am very sorry to learn of his passing. I send my deepest sympathy to the entire family from my home in Boston. You are in my thoughts. David Hurwitz

David will be missed. I have known him since his days at Sun in Philadelphia, then UOP and onto his HR consulting firm. Here, we were in the same office complex in Princeton. He was active in CDMA [CDA, CMRA], CHF, CCN, CDA, ChemPharma and Société de Chimie Industrielle, where I always looked forward to seeing him and enjoying our conversations; looking at his latest electronic device; and brainstorming. When he eMailed or called to ask me to attend a meeting, I always said YES …just because it was David. [Al Sagarese]

I met David first during the early days of ChemPharma. I found him to be an intelligent and enthusiastic friend and always being willing to help (and teach) others. I find it hard to believe that someone so dynamic is gone. My deepest sympathies to his wife, family and all who knew him.

I met David when he was working at Sun in Philadelphia about 25 years ago. He was a client, then a friend, and always a caring individual who understood the concept of giving and sharing. We spoke infrequently, but always with sincere interest in each other's work and personal lives. My heartfelt sympathy to his family and all those he touched.

David was always there. His interest was always only with those he could help to improve their life at times of their most urgent needs. He fought hard through this....I really thought he beat it. Certainly, David is someone we will all miss. Our prayers are with his family, and especially his grandchildren, whom he always favored!
