Edward McGinley Obituary

McGINLEY EDWARD J., of Somerton (formerly of Immaculate Conception Parish of E. Germantown), passed into eternal rest on March 12, 2002; beloved father of Catharine T., Edward G. and his wife Marge; loving Pop-Pop of Jeffrey Crockett, Kate, Megan, Ed and Theresa McGinley; great Pop-Pop of Cheyenne Crockett; dear brother of Regina Manton (Richard), Anna Hunter (Dave), Marian Meehan, John McGinley and the late Joseph F. McGinley, Francis A. McGinley and Helen Kerwin. He was the nephew of the late Rev. Joseph and Rev. Francis Schmutz S.S.J. Edward was a Navy Veteran of World War II, a retired postal employee and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Santa Maria Council 263. Relatives and friends are invited to his Life Celebration Saturday 9 A.M. and to participate in his Funeral Mass 10:30 A.M. at St. Christopher's Church, 13301 Proctor Rd., Phila. Int. Holy Sepulchre Cem. In lieu of flowers,, a donation in Edward's memory made to the Josephite Fathers, 1130 N. Calvert St., Baltimore, MD 21202, would be appreciated. Family Service by JOHN F. OUR MOST SINCERE SYMPATHY. WE HAVE KNOWN ED FOR MANY YEARS, FROM DOCTOR OFFNER'S OFFICE AND FROM ST. CHRISTOPHER'S PARISH. HE WAS ALWAYS CONGENIAL AND WE ENJOYED SPENDING TIME WITH HIM DURING EUCHARISTIC MINISTER VISITS TO THE FOP HOUSE. MAY GOD BE WITH YOU AT THIS TIME.
