As I placed pictures of Ed onto the poster board I matched pictures to stories that I had been told about him and all I kept thinking to myself was " Wow, what an amazing person.." Alan always spoke of Ed w/high regards. And if there was anyone he admired most and looked up to, it was Ed. My deepest condelences, my heart and prayers are w/ you all.

GIVE IT SOME TIME
The present may seem to be
painful, A difficult time to bear;
But try to control your emotions-
Tomorrow is soon to be here.
The questions are often
confounding, The answer elusive
at best. The moment at hand
has no focus; Confusion is
leaving you stressed.
Remember that moods keep on
shifting; perspectives are
destined to change. Time is a
force in your favor, though "now"
is too hard to arrange.
Give it some time so your
feelings can truely relax and
unwind. The answer resides
in the future-today you must
deal with your mind.
You`ll clearly have new
opportunities, instants when
you`re at your prime. Things
aren`t as bad as they seem to
you- be patient, and give it
some time

To Ed's Family,
My parents and I wish express our sincere condolences for your loss. As Marion's neighbors we grew to know him as a sweet, caring & gentle man who was also a "Gentleman". He regularly greeted me with a smile and a happy "Good Morning" as I left for work. Often even after he put in a hard day working, he was usually there when I returned home to bid me "Hi". When I called him from work one day concerned about my mother, he put my mind at rest and assured me that he would be there if she needed anything. With that he went to her and stayed until he made sure that she was alright. That was the kind of sweet and caring person he was. He will be greatly missed by all of us.

A piece of my heart has been lost with Eddie passing, I am lost searching for a reason for this tragedy. I know just like his rainbow on that dreadful day, he is with me, with us forever. There were so many people he touched and gave his all too, for many of you I ask not to mourn his death, but rather celebrate his life, and do it often at every possible moment. That is what Eddie would have wanted us all to do.

you will be deeply missed and I will never forget all you have taught me about the fire service, work and life. You have made me a better person by showing that if you want something you have to try hard to get it and if you don't get it you have to try even harder untill you do.
Thank you

Ed worked with me on several occasions working his magic doing tile installation. His work was always the best, but it was not his work that impressed me the most. It was his genuine friendship, honesty and kindness that made me feel that Ed was one of "the good ones". We always talked and kidded around about other things besides work because Ed is so much more than a business associate. He was, and will always be a true friend. May God bless you Ed, as he blessed me with your friendship. I will miss you, you will not be forgotten.
