Thinking about Aunt Elgie today with love and remembering how I always loved talking with her and all the fun Christmases we celebrated together.

Elgie, the ER wasn't an ideal place to have met your mom but I'm glad i did. I love reading about who she was and what she meant to everyone. The love she gave you was obvious to me in how you lovingly cared for her at the end of her life. I'm glad she is finally at peace.

Wendy, Elgie and Skip, I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. Aunt Elgie was a truly remarkable woman who had many successes in life. Most importantly, she recognized the value of family and raised three extraordinary children whom our family has had the pleasure of knowing and spending time. I admire more and more the fact that Aunt Elgie always made an effort to reach out despite having a very full and busy life. I have come to realize this in and of itself was a huge accomplishment. I will always hold Aunt Elgie close to my heart, and will fondly remember her beautiful smile, her intelligence and wit, her heart of gold, and all of the love and caring she freely gave to those around her. She certainly was one of a kind and we are truly blessed to have had the privilege of being a part of her life. Our thoughts, prayers and love are with you during this very difficult time.

Aunt Elgie was the most wonderful sister to my father, friend to my mother and loving aunt to my sisters and me. We will keep the memories and her love and beautiful smile in our hearts forever.
