ELIZABETH B. "BETTY" (nee Beierschmitt) May 6, 2016 age 87, a longtime school teacher in the School District of Philadelphia. Beloved wife of the late Francis J. Loving mother of Francis M. (Gayle), Gerald R. (Mary), Stephen J. (Lorraine), Nancy M. McBride (David) and Mary Thompson (Peter). Betty is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and Friends are invited to Viewing 8:30-10:15 A.M. Wednesday May 11th Resurrection of Our Lord Church 2000 Shelmire Avenue followed by Funeral Mass 10:30 A.M. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Catholic Charities Appeal 100 N. 20th St. Phila., PA 19103 or The Alzheimer's Association Robert Morris Bldg. 100 N. 17th St. 2nd Fl Phila., PA 19103 would be appreciated by the family. Aunt Betty was an angel and is now with all the angels in Heaven and in the presence of God and Jesus. She was kind, loving, giving and family oriented...I will always remember her smile, her words of wisdom, warm hugs and her love of family.....

I had the pleasure of making many wonderful art projects with Betty and having her as part of our Intergenerational visits with the children in our Child Development Program. She loved to read to the children. She also liked to come to the exercise class where she could do the program almost as good as I. i will remember her with fondness and warmth.
