We only learned today (Sep 24th) of the passing of our good friend, Feodor. We had no idea. We last visited him in October 2019. We are extremely sad. We extend our warmest wishes to his family.

Our sympathy to all in Feo's dear family. This was a person who truly tried his best in all things and succeeded in most of them. He cared deeply for people and animals, showing empathy for all. He hired superb helpers and embraced new technology with the excitement of a 9-year-old assembling a train set for the first time. His conservation successes and educational outreach through films and books might be surpassed only by David Attenborough. He created and oversaw major exhibits at the Smithsonian's Natural Museum History in Washington, D.C. in their Hall of Oceans and Iceland Revealed. He was an active long-time board member of Ocean Conservancy, hosting and participating in several events and rarely if ever missed a meeting. He charmed audiences of all sizes with his splendid photography and contagious sense of humor. Words cannot express how honored I feel to have known Feo as a non-profit associate and friend. Dive deep, experience beauty in nature, rest well.
