FRANCIS J., 86 of Palm Bay, Florida passed away on Friday, December 25, 2015. Frank was admired for his devotion, service, kindness and humility.
A graduate of West Catholic Boys' High School '46, Phila. PA, Frank attended Drexel University, and served in the Korean War. He worked for General Electric Company's Aerospace Division and retired with 35 years of service. He and his wife Bernadette moved to Somers Point, New Jersey in 1990 where he was a member of Saint Joseph's Church's Legion of Mary, the Knights of Columbus and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Frank also volunteered for 20 years at Shore Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his wife Bernadette (nee Gormley) and their children: Judith McMenamin Flaherty (John), Michael McMenamin (Melody) and Marie McMenamin (Sara); and daughter-in-law Cindy. He will be sadly missed by them and his grandchildren: Meghan Flaherty McAleavey, Mary Flaherty Black, Tara McMenamin Cleary, Lindsay McMenamin, Michael McMenamin, Jr., Kari Salomone, Christopher Salomone, Michael Reed and Katie Reed; his four great grandchildren Lily, Katherine, Keira, and Lilith; brother Joseph McMenamin; sister Susan McMenamin Knowlton; and his many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his son John McMenamin, father Edward McMenamin, mother Margaret Hayes McMenamin, sister Mary McMenamin McCloud, and brother Edward McMenamin. A Memorial Service will be at 10 A.M. on Wednesday Jan. 6, 2016 at St. Joseph's Church, 5330 Babcock St., NE Palm Bay, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West Catholic Boys' High School Phila., PA or the charity of your choice.
