Our sincere condolences go out to the entire Marchiano family on the loss of their family patriarch. Frank and Marchiano's have been a great and loyal customer of ours since they first started the retail business on Umbria St. in 1984. We had the opportunity of providing his first, second, and, most recently, their third dough mixer on Umbria St. during these 40 years! We have truly lost one of the good guys. RIP Frank.

All the love and thoughts for the Marchiano family. Absolutely amazing people and Big Frank was such an amazing man who always had his door to the bakery and his heart open. I lived on the block for 15 years and I am so grateful to have known him personally. So happy to have known him when the area went crazy for the Eagles Super Bowl and the true family of the shop during those days and many others. It was such a special time and the family are such special people. Big Frank will surely be missed. I know he´ll be running a bakery in heaven with his mom and dad and brother. Bob, Umbria St. neighbor.

From our days at Hillside Playground, our days at Roman (Frank was from the Class of `71 with my dear brother Dave), to our days playing fast pitch softball for Wolfington Chevrolet back in the early `70s at Kendrick Recreation Center, we developed a bond, as Frank did with everyone he met. He was that kind of guy. Frank Marchiano was loved by everyone. Frank, my dear friend, may you be at peace and be comforted in the arms of Our Lord. Our prayers are with the Marchiano family. From the first time we met Frank you can tell how much he loved his family and how generous he was to everyone. Standing in front of the bakery with him one afternoon watching all the people honk and talk to him out the windows showed me how much he was loved in the community! We love all the Marchiano family and glad we get to be a small part of it!!!

I am forever grateful to Frank Marchiano for the legacy he leaves behind with Marchiano´s. What a great local business it has been from day one. I still remember when I fell in love with the tomato pie when I was young. With thanks to Frank Marchiano, many others and I have been provided with traditions from here. From parties, holidays, and more the tomato pie is the best ever. Your impact on the neighborhood says it all. My condolences to The Marchiano family and Marc Jackson.

When we think of Philly we think of Big Frank and the Marchiano bakery. Nikki and I were fortunate to get to know Frank and his whole family. He was always generous and welcoming and he passed those traits onto to his children. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. May God be with his family as he welcomes Frank home.
With deepest sympathy
