GEORGE T. age 71, on Feb. 24, 2010. Beloved husband of Karen (nee Hartman). Devoted father of James Michael, Dawn Underwood (Shawn), and Deborah Murphy (Joseph). Loving grand-father of Trista, Brianna, and his two grandchildren on the way. Dear brother of Robert (Dolores). Uncle of Lisa and John. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. George was a graduate of Moorestown High School Class of '56, a U.S Navy Veteran, a retired Phila. Police Officer, and a retired electrician with St. Christopher's Hospital Electrical Maintenence Depart. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service Tuesday 11 A.M. at the HUBERT M. MCBRIDE FUNERAL HOME, 2357 E. Cumberland Street where his Viewing will begin at 10 A.M. Viewing also Monday eve 7-9 P.M. Int. Northwood Cem.

So sorry for your loss. I knew George only through his son, Jimmy, who was a childhood friend. I know that George also worked with my father, George Chapin, in the early years. I hope your grieving gets easier with each day that passes.

The passing of George will be broadcast to our 2401 members shortly and we would like to extend our sincere condolences to your family. His absence from our ranks will be deeply missed by the remaining members of Philadelphia’s Finest who were fortunate to have served with him during his police career. He will continue in our thoughts and prayers during our remaining days. God Bless . . .
