R.I.P. Coach. We were his first team as a Head Coach and we want you to know that this team is still close and we are in our 70's. We still get together and tell stories about that year and our Coach. He made us good players but better men. With Love always till we meet again. But I am not running anymore hills.

Rest in Peace Coach. I can speak for most of the Cardinal Doughtery alumni in expressing our deep gratitude for your dedication and leadership with the CD community. I personally want to thank you again for the opportunity to first play under you and then be a part of your coaching staff in the 80's for several years. You made us all better men! God Bless You and your family. Sincerely, Tom Hopkins CD 80'

What a beautiful mass today. To see so many familiar faces and hear everyones experience with Mr Stratts was truly moving. Something I wanted to make sure the family knew but didn´t get the chance to say was that the 2008 graduating class circulated Mr. Stratts obituary for days saying how much they respected and loved him. I hope the family felt surrounded by love today. May he rest in peace.

My thoughts and prayers are with George's family and friends in this time of sorrow. He impacted so many during his lifetime; he will not soon be forgotten. It was my privilege to work with him for many years, and to call him friend.

Coach Stratts was a man of honor, integrity and discipline.
He not only taught the X´s and O´s of football, he taught me life long lessons on how to live a happy , successful and productive life.
I am forever indebted to him for his rock solid advice and persistence in ensuring I set goals and work hard to achieve them.

My condolences to the family. I loved George Stratts. I didn´t realize how critical he was at a stage in my life when not having a Dad could be tragic. Coach Stratts stood in the gap and was so much more than a coach. I don´t have 3 Super Bowl wins without George Stratts. I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for using Coach Stratts in my life to give me hope and direction.

During my time at COH Mr. Stratts was the Disciplinarian, so I got to know him pretty well. I always found him tough but fair, and never leaned on his title. A good man. Condolences to his family.
