Gladys Walls Obituary

Walls Gladys (nee Winfield) Age 97, passed away on December 29, 2023 at Little Flower Manor in Darby, PA. She was married to Robert Walls until his death in 1988. Born in Coatesville, PA in 1926, she was the youngest child of Lonnie Winfield and Anna Brown Winfield, and the sister of Earl Winfield, Roy Winfield and Ted Jackson. She graduated from Coatesville High School and later graduated with BA and MA degrees from Lincoln University and Temple University. She met her best friends for life at Lincoln Grace and James Frankowsky and Emery Wimbish. After Lincoln, she started a career in education, first working as a teacher at Masterman, and then teaching English and counselling gifted students at Overbrook High School in Philadelphia. After retirement, she taught at Community College of Philadelphia. She will be remembered for her passions for teaching, exercising and travel, and for having a great sense of humor and adventure. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa, son-in-law John, a large family and a bevy of beloved students. Services private. www.mccreryandharra.com

My condolences to you and family Lisa. Steve and I always enjoyed sitting and talking during the annual family Thanksgiving dinner in Pottstown. May God give you comfort in the days to come.
