Dear Kandy,
Mark Welsh here, of Jeanne & Mark,
We did not know you & Greg as well as many, nor did we need to, to feel a good connection. We met through friends at numerous parties and of course, you could not miss Greg ever. Per chance at one meeting I found out about his love of wood working and we became involved through several specialty projects I was working on, that I could not find anyone to help me with.
Greg was very excited and the more we talked the more I realized, I really like this guy. I believed I could even hang with him, which is high praise from me as I find most men hard to take in large doses. But Greg had a gentle quality I fond engaging to say nothing of his sense of humor and affable manner. He was a dear man as, I am sure you had the pleasure of knowing. I hope I am not making you miss him worse than I can only imagine you already do. I never know what to say that could offer the comfort I wish I could wrap you in right now when something like this happens. You must be feeling 10 different overwhelming emotions right now and I can only say I will send you love through the ethers as a balm to your sorrow.
With all that is going on in this world that cast a shadow on peace & joy, we need every soul like Greg available to offset the ill humor around us. I wished I made more of an effort to get to know Greg, I know we would have made excellent friends and I feel blessed to have known him the few years I did.
My heart goes out to you-
Mark Welsh.... I know Jeanne feels the same .

To the Lippincott Family,
I only knew Greg for a short time. We connected through our love of woodturning. I purchased his Jet lathe & he shared some of his wood with me. He was so very generous & excited to give me some wood. Greg was pleased that I loved his Jet lathe & we spoke many times about it. I will miss him at our monthly meetings. May Greg's memory always be for a blessing.

Dear Kandy:
I was so saddened to hear about Greg. He was such a special person, and I know he was such a source of strength and support for you.
While he was often quiet at the meetings we both attended, it was very apparent that he was engaged in deep listening and thinking about what others were saying. His comments and questions always brought a rich insight into the conversations.

We became acquainted with Greg only a few weeks ago on the Earth Quaker Action Team's Green Walk for Jobs and Justice, first on the 12+ miles from Central Philadelphia to Swarthmore, and again on the final nearly 40 miles from Greensburg in western Pennsylvania to Pittsburgh. We shared conversation, meals, songs, accommodations with host families along the route, blisters, laughs, and a deep appreciation of the fact that a life of integrity requires a commitment to direct action to secure human rights and human and environmental and ecological justice for all. It was clear to us that Greg lived that life of integrity. His commitment inspired us on that long walk to Pittsburgh and will help support us as we continue without him on that longer road to a just and sustainable future.

Greg was one of the nicest people I have ever met. His kindness and wit were so sweet - all this is such a tall package! My love goes out to Kandy, the girls (now women), the older generation and the entire Quaker community.
