I am always browsing Beckett-Brown&Hodges website to view the recent obituaries to try to keep up with my Philadelphia ties. When I saw the name "Elam", I immediately thought of Catherine Elam because I recall her always speaking so lovingly of her husband Harold. I met Catherine who interviewed me for a position PCA in Philadelphia years ago and we clicked immediately. I now reside in Virginia and I lost track of Catherine, but I have never forgotten her. May God bless you Catherine and your sweet daughters. God will never leave you nor forsake you and will be your shield and buckler. So happy to have met you and grateful for how you sowed into my life. The love that you and your husband shared will never die and the memories will always abide.

My prayers are with you. I have known Harold over 75 years as a childhood neighbor and friend on Bouvier St. So sad to hear if his passing.

The best word that comes to mind as I reflect and celebrate the life of Harold Elam was that he was always consistent. He was consistently kind, consistently loving, consistently genuine and consistently authentic.
Harold was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His legacy and light will continue to shine and thrive through his family and all who knew him.
May God's merciful hand carry him into eternal peace.
With deepest sympathy and condolences,
Dennis & Gladys Thomas
