Hi all, I was sorry to learn just yesterday of Harry's passing. I've many fond memories of time spent with the Kaplan clan: the energy in your house growing up, the high intelligence factor, the independent thinking--all of it left a lasting impression on me. I had several long talks Harry over the course of the decades and one was always impressed by the breadth of his knowledge and the scope of his deeply considered opinions. Besides all that, my older sister, Andrea, was one of the 1st people fitted with contact lenses in the US, which was through Harry. At the time, the technological advancement that represented felt like the moon shot to the incredulous teen I was at the time. I'll remember Harry fondly, and always with a warm thought to all the Kaplan's. May you be well and prosper. Love, Michael Blum

Dear Mae and family,
Please accept my heartfelt condolences on your loss. Harry was one of the most intelligent, curious, interesting, kindest people it was my privilege to work with at PCO/Salus. He was always my go-to person for historical information about the College, and I loved to listen to his stories! A great deal of my love for and knowledge of PCO came from Harry's stories and anecdotes.
Beyond that, Harry was truly interested in people. His sense of humor, and his dedication to his profession were hallmarks. His pride and love for his family were also evident to all who knew him, and his devotion to his beloved Mae was inspiring.
Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. Harry was simply a wonderful person, and your loss is shared by all who worked with him and knew him.
Sincerely,
Peggy
