HANKEE JAMES H. "JIM" Age 86, of Bryn, Mawr, PA, passed on March 19, 2022. Jim was a graduate of United States Military Academy West Point and served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. Jim was the beloved husband of Margaret Anne "Peggy" (née Mooney) Hankee; loving father of James P. Hankee (Diane); proud grandfather of Ryan, Daniel, and Brigid. Survived by sister, Anne Schreck (Richard) and brother, John. Predeceased by daughters, Ellen Patricia Hankee and Margaret Mary Kissinger (Jack). Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, Friday, March 25, 2022, 9:30 – 10:30 A.M. at St. John Neumann Church, 380 Highland Lane, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010, followed by his Funeral Mass, 10:30 A.M. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA. I loved this guy. I worked with him at IBM in 1984-1985. I learned a lot from him; laughed a lot; and he tolerated this young Branch Manager. Thank you, Jim. I was recalling his stories of visiting Ireland and giving money to his hosts in a very formal process. We are at the Chinese cart together out back, and I can think of lots of stories. I´m a college professor now and Jim Hankee stories work their way into my lectures. A lot of MBAs at Indiana University know of Jim Hankee. Garters and all.
