JAMES P., March 12, 2015. Loving husband of Theresa (nee Burr) Stuhlman of Overbrook PA. Beloved father of Elaina Michelle Stuhlman. Devoted Son of William C. and Ann (nee McFadden) Stuhlman. Caring brother of Andrea (John) Daggett, Maureen Stuhlman, Donna Rose Stuhlman, William Stuhlman Jr., Suzanne (Lou) Iacovelli and Michael (Sheila) Stuhlman. Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Tuesday, 6 to 9 P.M., in THE FUNERAL HOME OF JOHN STRETCH, 236 East Eagle Rd., Havertown PA 19083, and Wednesday, 9:30 to 10:30 A.M., in Presentation BVM Church (204 Haverford Road, Wynne-wood PA 19096) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. Interment SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, an offering in James' name can be made to Penn Medical Development, 3535 Market Street, Suite 750, Att. I have followed this story since it happened two years ago b/c it was in my old neighborhood... However, I did not realize until TODAY that not only was it my old neighborhood but it was one of my beloved neighbors! Jim and his family welcomed my wife and I with open arms when we moved on to our close-knit block on Woodcrest.
I am truly heartbroken to know that such a good man, husband, father, son, brother, and neighbor so was taken so senselessly. I take comfort in the fact that Jim was a man of faith and so, we know that he is resting in eternal glory and that we will see him again.
Much love to the family. I am glad that justice has been served and that the young men who committed this horrible crime have been held accountable. I pray for peace for you and that God continues to comfort and keep you.

We are saddened profoundly by this senseless tragedy. We are neighbors and dog walkers who also care about the neighborhood. While we didn't have the pleasure of getting to know Jim and his family because we live on the other end of Morris Park. From all these loving posts it is apparent he was a loving father brother and family man who left this world a better place. God bless his daughter and wife. May we hold him in the light and pray the senseless violence especially in the younger generation to stop and no other family lose it's father for no reason. God bless the Stuhlman family.

So very sorry for your sudden and tragic loss. I do not have the good fortune of knowing you or your family but read about your loss thru the news online and felt Mr. Stuhlman deserved more than just reading a news article so I searched for an obituary to attempt to pay my respect. Dear Theresa and Elaina,
Jim always gave me a wonderful sense of who he was as a loving father and husband through our short (mostly) encounters at the store. Clearly he loved his wife and was very proud of his daughter. He was so good and patient with Molly and clearly crazy about her. He and Mike had such an amazing bond of brotherly love. Thoughtful and kind, this wonderful man will be so missed by all those who came in contact with him.

I met Jim from visting hilltop time and time again. From the first conversation with him he made you feel like he knew you for 10 years . I would come in for landscaping supplies and up leaving with great stock market advice . He was truly a great sincere man with endless knowledge. I am truly sadden by this. I did not know Jim well, but just from my stops in at Hilltop I could tell he was a genuinely kind person. It was easy to find common ground with him and he would always want to chat with customers about anything. Such a nice fella. He will be missed! My prayers are with Mike and the rest of his family.

Wether I was seeking advise about which seed to spread or where to go for lunch Jim would always give me as much time as he could to make sure I was getting it right the first time. Jim and I were in many classes together at St.Joe's. When a new semester began we would sit next to each other in whatever class. Occasionally we would see each other at a Basketball game and instantly reconnect as if time had not passed. He was truly one of my 'College Buddies'.
