I knew & worked for Mace in Middlefield & Middletown many yrs ago. Many happy memories at afterwork functions. Many stories & laughs. Remember him talk about his Spider & his bar in my birthcity of Pa. Was a hard worker & made his crew do the same. Many fellow friends of Lyman & co-workers will surely say the same. Prayers to Pam, who we met at some of those functions. RIP Mace.

I worked with Mace for 28 years at Lyman Products in cost accounting. I greatly admired him for his intelligence and knowledge of the shooting industry. It was my and my son Carl's honor to work with him. After , we left the company, Mace was always in our thoughts and he will be missed. We offer our prayers and thoughts to Pam and his family at this sad time. Remember the good times and cherish the memories!

In his obit, he sounds like a remarkable man. I would have enjoyed having conversations
With him. Also, if I knew of his place of employment, I would have applied for a job. A sad loss.
Condolences to his family, friends and everyone that knew him.
RIP Mr. Mace The Lord is waiting for you to welcome
you into Heaven. Now it’s time for you to rest.

Pam,
I was so saddened to hear about the loss of Mace from George Bur SJ,The Former President Of "The Prep" and Mace's former Prep Classmate. I met Mace at The Prep in Philadelphia in the fifties. Mace was an extraordinary student having studied Classical Languages such as Latin and Greek. He was also a member of The Prep Crew and a great coxswain.
Mace and Brother Bernie were super raconteurs and Mace was steeped in many topics including SJU Basketball and Eagles Football.
Mike Delone,The Great Prep Football Star and I attendedMace's 40th birthday at Mace's Bar in Center City Philadelphia-it was a blast. Many Preppers had great times at Mace's Bars in Philly-especially Mace's Crossing on Cherry Street which was A Philadelphia Institution.
I was honored and privileged to have known such A Fine,Decent, and Generous Man-"May James"Mace" Thompson" Rest In Eternal Peace".
