Steve and family: Our deepest condolences on the loss of your Mom, "Aunt Janet" as she was known to the Shapiro's. She was BFF with my mother from childhood and it was so wonderful to be so close as friends with all of the Levinson's all these years. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.

My mom was an incredibly strong woman, there was not an ounce of ambiguity in her body. She knew what she wanted , who she liked and who she loved. Her husband Lew and family were the center of her universe. Although caring for ailing parents is difficult , trying and often frustrating the experience brings the attending children closer and actually strengthens the family bonds.Just what my mom would have wanted. My mom was the most tenacious person I knew, often making interactions challenging but it also proved to be one of her attributes. All of her children learned to stay true to our convictions and values even when we disagreed. She taught us that we can never fail in our endeavors unless we quit, so we never quit. Mom we love you and will miss and of course always hold you in our hearts.
Your loving son Stevie
