JEAN
On Jan. 17, 2018 of Ardmore, PA. Son of the late Edouard and Marie (nee Balian) Ohanessian. Devoted brother of Suzanne Kelly (Dennis). Uncle of Pamela Cabrera (rene) and Nora Kelly; also survived by great nephew and niece Daniel and Gabriela. Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family 9:00 to 9:45 A.M. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in the Presentation B.V.M. Church, 240 Haverford Road, Wynnewood, PA 19096. Int. SS Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean's name to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 would be appreciated.

First memory, our meeting in Bamako train station in Mali, Jean was willing to cross the Sahara désert to France..
We finally ended in my parents house in Senegal, then we shared an appartement in Paris, France, where I was student. More than a friend, Jean become part of our family. Salut Jean, nous pensons à toi. Jean et famille.

It is with great sorrow that I see this obituary. I played online chess with "Gadou" for many years. 2 and a half years ago we stopped playing. Now, resuming my chess activities I tried to find some information on him and learnt about his passing. :(
May he rest in peace. Great chess player, amazing online friend!
