JOHN JOSEPH "JACK", 91, formerly of Lansdowne PA. Beloved husband, father, grand-father and great-grandfather, died on June 25, 2016 in West Chester PA. Born in Philadel-phia, Jack served in the 13th Army Air Force in the Pacific Theater from 1943 through 1946. He put his strong Catholic faith in action through his work with the St. Vincent de Paul Society and his devotion to daily Mass, the Rosary and service as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Charles Borromeo Parish where he was an active parishioner for 46 years. Prior to his retirement, he worked in various roles at General Electric for over thirty years.
He was predeceased by Winifred, his loving wife of 59 years; his parents, Charles and Hannah; as well as his sisters, Mary Bergman and Anne Mailey and his brothers, Charles and James. He is survived by his 6 children, Eileen (Ted) Lurker, Nancy (Rich) DiTeodoro, Joan (Pat) Ackerman, Margaret M. "Margy", Sean (Donna) and Gerald (Heather). Also survived by his brother, Daniel; 13 grand-children, Christine, Michael (Stephanie) and Caitlin Fisher; Rich (Erin), Rob (Laura) and Jeff DiTeodoro; Meghan Ackerman, Brian, Michael and Kristen Friel; Catherine, Elizabeth and Charles Friel and 4 great-grandchildren, Luke, Zoe, Rose and Mark DiTeodoro.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Thursday, June 30th, 5 to 8 P.M., O'LEARY FUNERAL HOME, 640 E. Springfield Rd., Springfield, PA 19064. There will be a Viewing on Friday, July 1st, at 9:30 A.M., in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3422 Dennison Avenue, Drexel Hill PA, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 A.M. Burial SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Charles J. Friel 2016 Supplemental Needs Trust, c/o Attorney James Funnell, Jr., Hermenze & Marcantonio LLC, 19 Ludlow Rd., #101, Westport CT 06880.

Dear Eileen and Family,
We were so sad to learn of Jacks passing. He was a one of a kind, sweet and loving man. His smile brightened up the room when he entered. He will be missed. We will think of him now joined up with Winnie, Charlie, Dorothy, Anne and Mary having one raucous of a time together!
