John, From the moment I met you it was apparent that you were someone special. You possessed numerous gifts and talents. Your stories of your youth illustrated your work ethic, wisdom and dedication. Your tenacity and strength in your battle with your health issues were inspirational. How blessed you were to have the love of family and friends and a beautiful, devoted woman at your side. I shall always remember the way your blue eyes twinkled when telling a story or instigating some comical mischief. Remembering you and your loved one today. I'm happy to have known you. Rest well Candy Man.

UNCLE JOHN, YOU WERE MY MENTOR FOR CONTINUING THE BUSINESS THAT YOU DEDICATED YOUR WHOLE LIFE AROUND. I WILL ALWAYS SEARCH FOR YOUR GUIDANCE. I RESPECT THAT GREATLY. MOST OF ALL, I WILL MISS YOU AS MY UNCLE JOHN. THE TRADITION OF GOING TO AUNT ELLIE AND UNCLE BOB'S HOUSE AT CHRISTMAS WILL CONTINUE BUT, IT WILL NEVER BE THE SAME. THE MEMORIES OF GOING TO THE SPORTING EVENTS WILL ALWAYS BE PRESENT IN MY MIND, HOWEVER, "THE GREAT ESCAPE " CAN NEVER BE TOPPED. "THE GREAT ESCAPE" IS WHEN PAUL MACCRORY AND MY BROTHERS, GERRY AND TOM, AND MYSELF WENT TO FLORIDA TO VISIT AND SAY "GOOD-BYE" TO JOHN. JOHN WAS PLANNING TO TAKE US ON A BOAT CRUISE TO SEE THE DOLPHINS. UNFORTUNATELY, JOHN WAS ADMITTED INTO THE HOSPITAL BEFORE OUR ARRIVAL. WHEN IT BECAME EVIDENT THAT THE HOSPITAL WAS NOT GOING TO DISCHARGE HIM, HE PERFORMED "THE GREAT ESCAPE" AND CHECKED HIMSELF OUT AND TOOK US ON THE DOLPHIN CRUISE THAT HE HAD PLANNED AND ENJOYED SO MUCH. I WILL ALWAYS MISS YOU UNCLE JOHN.
THANK YOU. I LOVE YOU. RICH
