To the entire Haughton family, I offer my deepest and most sincere sympathies for your very great loss. Because I moved from the Delaware Valley in 1991 I hadn't seen Ozzie in nearly 15 years but the news of his passing makes numbers like that unimportant. He was my housemate in Sea Isle City in the summers of 1985 and 1986 when he was one of the most healthy, happy and funny people one could ever hope to meet. We instantly became friends and any weekend that he was able to make it down to the shore was, because of him being there, what every weekend in summer should be like for the young or just for the young at heart--a LOT of fun. I miss him like that was yesterday, and I will always remember him as a great bear of a man with a heart of gold and a ready smile. When the rest of us get to the other side, if Ozzie isn't there waiting we'll know we're not in heaven.
All my best to you during what must be a very difficult time for everyone.
Sincerely,
Ralph
