John McBride Obituary

McBride John J. Jr., "Jack" Age 91, of Glenolden passed away peacefully at Little Flower Manor on February 16, 2025. Jack was born and raised in South Philadelphia. He retired in 1999 from Philadelphia Inquirer and was a member of Local #1414 Newspaper and Magazine Union. Prior to his illness he enjoyed hunting, coin collecting and playing Pogo on the computer. He also enjoyed spending Tuesday afternoons at VFW Post#507 Norwood. He is predeceased by his son John M. McBride, parents John and Evelyn McBride, siblings Evie McCue, George McBride, Frank McBride, Beverly Diering, Dorothy McBride and infant brother Jimmy McBride. Survivors: beloved wife of 54 years of Patricia McBride, loving father of James McBride, George McBride, Scott McBride and Patricia (Steve Lawton) McBride, dear brother of Catherine "Myrt" (George) Taylor, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Service and Burial will be private in memory of Jack, contributions to Little Flower Manor, 1201 Springfield Rd., Darby, PA 19023 would be appreciated.
