Dear Elizabeth,
I hope to be present at the funeral on Monday. I had the blessing of working with Jack (Lindy as his Jesuit friends called him) for a number of years when we lived together in the Jesuit Community at St.Joseph's University.
Not many weeks ago I was able to visit Jack. He gave me the gift of encouragement while we sat and talked. He was confident about his place with his Lord Jesus. After our conversation he slowly stood up and made the effort to embrace me and say good bye. May he rest in peace.
