JOHN W. "POTTSY" suddenly on January 23. 2013. Beloved husband of Marilynn J. (nee Wolf), loving father of Kayce Scioli (Don) and Jayme O'Malley (Michael), devoted grandfather of Nicky, Reece and Brooke-Lynn, dear brother of Helene Wildsmith, William and the late Edward. Relatives and Friends are invited to call at THE WALTER J. MEYERS FUNERAL HOME, 6643-45 Torresdale Ave. (at Unruh) Phila. Monday 10 A.M. to 12 Noon. Religious services will follow at 12 Noon. To the greatest uncle in the world , I miss you dearly and think about you everyday . I keep waiting for a phone call so we can have a lot of laughs and I think my brothers are too waiting also. We know you are looking down on us and telling us to keep trucking on . 10/4 over and out !!!! Love you so much and of course aunt Marilynn and Your beautiful family. We were blessed and so so lucky to have you in our life. You are still with us and I can feel it .

So sorry for your loss. Johnnie was always good for a great story or a tall tale. It was great working with him, as he was a true proffessional who taught me a lot about the trucking industry, and was always there for solid advise when asked. He was one of a kind and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Marilyn our prayers are with you and your family.

Marilynn & family,
We are so sad to hear about your loss. John was one of the great ones! We don't see you much anymore, but he will live on in our memories from our younger days at Mike & Pauls. John was always a gentle man, but one of the toughest & strongest men I've know. His heart was as large as that bar. I'll always remeber when he stood up for my Mom while waitressing at the Woodbine or telling us about the night he watched his daughter being born. The tears in his eyes showed his sensitivity and he wasn't the least bit emabarrassed. That is a strong, tough man. With lovng thoughts always,

Unc's, I cant beleive I am writing this. There are no words to discribe the pain we are feeling. You were AMAZING! You impacted our lives in so many ways, that the thought of you being gone is unbearable.
