JOHN SCHULTZ Obituary

SCHULTZ JOHN FRANCIS, JR. ("Jack") Age 28, of Washington, D.C. formerly Wayne, PA passed away July 20, 2022 at Bryn Mawr Hospital. Jack was the son of John Schultz Sr. and Nancy (nee Nesslar) Schultz of Haverford, PA. He worked for Carahsoft Technologies in Reston, Virginia. Jack graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Labor and Employment Relations where he was a member of the Sigma Pi fraternity. He was a 2012 graduate of Radnor High School. Born in Atlanta, GA, Jack grew up in Darien, CT; Paris, France; and Wayne. Jack's years in Paris, where he attended the Marymount International School in Neuilly-sur-Seine set in motion his love of travel; he visited dozens of foreign countries. Jack will be remembered for his sense of humor, quick wit, love of family and encyclopedic knowledge of music and sports. Jack is also survived by sisters Anna Schultz of Philadelphia and Margaret (Maggie) Schultz of Brooklyn, NY; grandmother Mary Anne Nesslar of LaGrange Park, IL; and grandmother Barbara Schultz of Frankfort, IL. Jack was predeceased by his two namesake "Jack" grandfathers: John Schultz and John Nesslar, both of Illinois. Contributions may be made to a NYC Marathon fundraising effort that our family supports: Mikey's Team c/o Fred's Team to benefit Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center of New York or to a progressive cause or charity of your choice. A memorial will be held at a later date in Chicago. Please bring Jack to mind when you're filling out your NCAA March Madness brackets or listening to Van Morrison. Jack sat next to me at work and we very quickly became very close. He had a passion for good food, music, and travel. He raved about his cool dad and sounded like he was brought up in a great family and loved his childhood and where he grew up (The Main Line) very much. I last saw him in February when he invited me out to The Palm steakhouse where work had given him a credit. As always we shared a bunch of laughs and great times and strolled around downtown. He was like a younger brother to me. I wish we had spent more time together. Keeping him and his family in my thoughts and prayers <3

I met Jack a few years ago when he started working at the same company. I helped get him acclimated to the new position and genuinely enjoyed the time we spent together. Jack was a special person, I'll always remember our time jamming to Orleans.

John and Nancy, I am heartbroken for you and with you. Meeting through IBM was great, but having you as Darien neighbors made it wonderful. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
