JOSEPH J. SR.,October 23, 2013 of Brigantine, NJ., formerly of East Falls. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Nolan); formerly married to the late Elizabeth Foley; dear father of Joseph Jr. (Kathleen) and Michael; grand-father of Ellen, Joseph (Christy) and Timothy (Brandi); also survived by 3 great grand-children, Isla, Olivia and Aiden; 5 sisters Winifred, Barbara, Agnes, Patricia and Mary; one brother David and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Francis and Robert "Gus". Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Tuesday, October 29th at St. Bridget Church, 3667 Midvale Ave., Phila., PA. 19129, 9:30 - 10:45 A.M. followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 A.M. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cem. For those desiring donations in Joe's memory may be made to the St. Bridget Memorial Fund.

Helen and the Bishoff Family,
Please accept my heartfelt sympathy on Joe's passing. May you find peace in all your wonderful memories of him. I had the distinct honor of knowing Joe. He was a good man and one who served his country with great distinction in World War II as a U.S. Navy Higgins boat operator landing U.S. Marines on Japanese-held islands in the Pacific campaign. It was men like Joe would put their life on the line many times to preserve our freedom and way of life.
