A keen intellect, sharp sense of humor, grace, dignity, generosity, but above all, an abiding faith in God and love for his family, these are the attributes that come to mind when I think of my Uncle Joe.
Surely our loss is heaven's gain.

Mr. Joe Grubb was one of my grandparents' best friends, but he, like Mrs. Grubb, has been a great friend to me, too, in many ways. I will miss him, but I'll never forget him. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Dear Aunt Stella, cousins and grandchildren ,family and friends: When the Lord calls our loved ones home, he leaves a gift of memories in exchange. Hold on to your memories, and let them guide you during this time of sadness.Sorrow is a fleeting emotion, but love is infinite.
My Uncle Joe was a man who wore many hats, he was a husband, a father, a grandfather,an uncle, a friend a busines man in which he helped his community. He served our country with all his heart and was proud to do so. Uncle Joe was my mother, Gertrude's, big brother.
There was a large age difference between them but she always sat and told us the great stories she rememmbered when she was growing and how much fun she had with him. She also spoke with a very heavy heart about how Uncle Joe consoled her when they lost a dear very young sister, who I am proud to be named after. He was always there no matter what the situation:good or bad. We lived far apart but at each wedding I learned more and more about my "SPECIAL" Uncle. He always made time for his nieces and newphews and insisted we dance on the dance floor with him. (He could really shake a leg).I will miss him but his memories and SPECIAL KINDNESS to our family will always be seared into our hearts. Dearest Aunt Stella: I can only imagine how broken your heart is at this time and I hope this helps: MAGIC HAPPENS WHEN TWO HEARTS BECOME CONNECTED, AND MEMORIES CAN NEVER BE ERASED. YOU AND UNCLE JOE WERE SO LUCKY TO BE "SOUL MATES" AND I KNOW WITH YOUR DEEP BELIEF IN GOD AND OUR CATHOLOIC RELIGION YOU WILL WALK HAND IN HAND ON GOD'S BEAUTIFUL BEACH IN PARADISE!
Your Loving neice and nephew, Joan and Tom DiBenedetto

Joe and Stella Grubb were dear friends of my parents, Chick and Marie Quinn. Over a stretch in 2001 when my dad spent six months hospitalized or in nursing care, Joe was far and away the most frequent visitor, come rain or shine, and a constant and heartening reminder that there was life waiting outside. He was such a generous man, giving so freely of that most precious matter, time. God bless you, Joe! To Stella and family, our heartfelt condolences.

I remember the days when my mom and I walked the streets of Sea Isle - 57th street was always in our path - stopping to chat with Uncle Joe and Aunt Stella. Now, I hold that thought and will store in my heart with all the other memories I have of our family days in Sea Isle City. May God Bless You, Uncle Joe and Rest In Peace.

Joe was such a dear guy. I had the pleasure of meeting him this past winter while leading a writing group for seniors in Court House. I always so enjoyed his wonderful use of English and the interesting way he would string big words together. Joe will definitely be missed. I pray the Lord will meet you in your mourning and comfort you in your sadness.
