Dear Mrs. McGuinness, Joe, Mike, and Brian ; Belated but sincere sympathy in the passing of your dear husband & father . I am so sorry that I missed his funeral, I didn't find out until it appeared in the Parish Bulletin . I have many fond memories with "Mr. Gaminnis" (as we jokingly referred to him) when we were in the original Guitar Group for the 9:30 Lower Church Mass which began back in 1977 . Always enjoyed chatting with him and his wife after Mass or @ Kelly's Seafood Restaurant in recent years . May he rest in peace in the palm of God's hand .

God understood our thirst for
knowledge, and our need to be led
by someone wiser;
He needed a heart of compassion,
of encouragement, and patience;
Someone who would accept
the challenge regardless of the
opposition;
Someone who could see potential
and believe in the best in others . . .
So He made Teachers. Thank you Mr McGuinness for seeing that potential in so many of us that other,and in my opinion lesser adults failed to see.The way you cared,and advised us made a difference.It was nice to be ableto tell you that face to face backin 1993. May your family take solace in knowing that your years of hard work,paid off in the lives of so many,that in many cases had the deck stacked against then. Thought and prayers go out to the McGuiness family. REST IN PEACE <3 (John Paul Jones Jr. High School 1975-77)

Joe was a friend for over forty years and a colleague for thirty of them. His warmth, good humor and genuine caring for his staff and students are qualities that will be sorely missed. Go with God, Joe.

Sending a heartfelt love and condolences to the family of the late Mr. McGuinness. He was my counselor at John Paul Jones Jr. High school and he was always a fair and kind man. I was not a very good kid in JH but Mr. McGuinness saw something in me that I didn't see at the time and never gave up on me. I owe my success to him and am thankful to have been one of his students and may he Rest in Paradise with our Lord and Savior. God bless
