Many things bring back good memories of Joe and Rita Ranieri, my in-laws. Today someone posted a picture of John W. Mauchly on the anniversary of his passing in 1980. Dad was Senior Vice President in Mauchly Assoc, a prominent consulting company, on the leading edge of computing technology advances applied construction. I picked up a (Mauchly) memorial edition of The Bulletin at the train station one time and brought it to him...always enjoyed hearing about his career highlights.
So, it made me wish I could still catch a few Phillies and Eagles games with them, this time of year. Caught a few over the years with barrels of Charlie Chips and Pretzels between our recliners.
I miss them.

Joe was such a blessing to our family. We got to know him over the last two years since he was a tablemate to our mother in Freedom Village. He would regale us with stories of Villanova and his function in the Navy. We shared similar stories from our father who also attended Villanova and was in the Navy at the same time as Joe. Joe attended our mother's birthday party in August and was a real hit with all the younger kids. Joseph was a man of few words but in similarity to E.F. Hutton, when he would speak, you would listen. We loved him well. God bless the Ranier Family.

Anone who knew Joe knows what a loving family man he was. Although he can't be with his family here on earth any longer, he leaves them with wonderful memories and a great legacy! Now he joins his sweetheart in Heaven and we know he is happy and healthy. See you on the other side Joe!
