He was the husband of Marie Wackerman Ryan, sharing 58 years of marriage. Born in Delaware County on May 31, 1941, he was the son of the late Joseph Ryan and Mae Conroy Hagner. Joe served his community in several ways, one of which was as the Chester County Controller. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of Whitford Country Club, serving as a past President. He was an avid boater and sailor, and at one time was the Commodore of the Corinthian Yacht Club of Cape May. Dear Marie & Family.
It was with great sadness that we learned of your beloved Joe´s passing.
He was such a generous and kind man. We always appreciated your wonderful hospitality on our visits to the United States. In particular, we cherish the memory of our cruise abroad HOYA on the Chesapeake when we visited Baltimore. They were happy times.
Please accept our deepest condolences at this sad time for you all.
May his noble soul rest in the peace of Our Lord.
With sincere sympathy.
Anthony Ryan & Family.
