JOSEPH MATTHEW SCHMID, formerly of Glenolden, PA, on Jan. 7, 2004, husband of the late Rita (nee McCollum) Schmid, father of Stephen J. Schmid, Denise M. Doyle, and Patricia A. Morris; also survived by 8 grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass 10 A.M. Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, at St. Agnes Church, 233 W. Gay St., West Chester, PA. Int. SS. Peter and Paul Cem. Springfield, PA. Visitation 8:30-9:30 A.M. Saturday at DELLAVECCHIA, REILLY & SMITH FUNERAL HOME INC., 410 N. Church St., West Chester PA (parking on premises). In lieu of flowers contributions to St. Francis Country House, 1412 Lansdowne Ave., Darby, PA 19023.

Dear Denise, Trisha, Stephen and families:
I am so sad about your father's death but happy that he is no longer suffering. He really had quite a struggle for the past 11 years. Just think of the wonderful reunion he and your Mother will have in Heaven! They really loved one another and it was torture for them to be apart. I cannot help but smile when I recall the nice times I had with them and all of you. God Bless you all. You are in my prayers.
