JOSEPH J., on Nov. 8, 2012. Beloved father of Thomas (Melinda) and Joanne Toomey. Loving grandfather of Ryan, Olivia, Thomas and Sophia. Dear great grandfather of Keira and Kaleigh. Devoted brother of Robert (Catherine), Mary and the late Thomas F. Jr. M.D. and Regina. Relatives and friends may pay their respects to the family on Tuesday 10 A.M. WACKERMAN FUNERAL HOME, 8060 Verree Rd., Phila. PA 19111 followed by Prayer Service 11 A.M. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Ave., Phila., PA. 19111 would be appreciated.

To my adopted family the Toomey's
What can I write about Joe, that I wouldn't be writing my own life story. As far back as my mind can take me he was there. A plate at Toomey's table, a present under the tree, a birthday card, a Christmas card, a smile that warmed my heart. These are memories that are in my heart today and always. No one could fine a better friend (brother) to share a life of joy and laughter and tears. A part of my life left Nov 8, but I am sure he will be waiting in heaven for me. He is in our hearts now as he has always been.

Toomey Family
Sally and I were sadden to hear of your great loss. Joe lived a very good life with lots of beautiful people around him. He was a ball of lighting in his very early years of life growing up on Stockton Road in Germantown. We will all keep him and your family in our prayers especially this Thanksgiving.
