LAWRENCE WESTKAEMPER Obituary
LAWRENCE EDWARD, 80. Beloved husband of Ruth Reiniger Westkaemper, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2009 in Greenville, SC. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Ellen Westkaemper of Greenville, SC and Anne Snow of Greer, SC; two sons, Paul Westkaemper of Jenkintown, PA and John G. Westkaemper of Dallas, TX; two brothers, John C. Westkaemper of San Antonio, TX and Robert Westkaemper of Owego, NY; and eight grandchildren: Ruby, Teddy, Corbin, Mia, Matthew, Kelly, Cady and Mason. Born in Yoakum, TX, he was the son of the late Peter and Erma Maier Westkaemper. He was predeceased by his brother Richard. Larry received a B.A. and B.S. from Rice University and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan. He was an executive with the Rohm and Haas Company, spending most of his 35-year career living in Meadowbrook, PA. Larry enjoyed spending time in the Poconos with his family, volunteering with the Boy Scouts and attending the Philadelphia Orchestra and opera performances.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Research Founda-tion, 1236 Ginger Crescent, Virginia Beach, VA 23453. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady Help of Christians in Abington. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting:

We send our sincere sympathy to Ruth and the entire family. We have fond memories of Larry from our earliest days with Rohm and Haas in Texas.
Then when a transfer brought us back to Texas we bought your beautiful home on Ecuador Drive.
