I knew "Mr Green" while a student at Devereaux (Class of '78).
Leonard Green was an understanding, insightful fellow I'm especially grateful to for writing a recommendation letter to the USAF before my long career. I lost track down the decades then stumbled on this obit, but respects are due and better late than never.
There isn't much online about Devereaux for understandable reasons, but the staff in those days were generally outstanding and they have my gratitude. That era is history but they changed many young lives for the better.

My Social Work career was graced by the wonderful opportunity to work, grow and learn from this amazing man. He inspired many people in his time with the Devereux Foundation.

Words could not possibly express the sorrow felt for the loss of man who gave so much to his family, to his work and to his country. His greatness will live on in the remembrance of all the wonderful stories he would tell and lessons he would teach. Thank you Leonard.
