LEWIS SEAMAN Obituary

SEAMAN
LEWIS

93 years old, died on April 28, 2017. He worked 36 years for General Electric, married two beloved wives, had two daughters, three sons, three stepsons and ten grandchildren.
Marion was his wife for nearly 45 years and Alyce for 11. Lew was Dad to Leslie, Judy, Larry, David, and Robert. Larry died in 1981. Lew was also father-in-law to Gary, Bill, Roxie and Julie and Step-Dad to Dan, Drew and Eric. Grandchildren are Andrew, Ryanne, Emily, Lauren, Hannah, Dylanne, MacKenzie, Danny, Brenanne, and Ella.
Lew was an engineer who worked mainly on spacecraft such as satellites and reentry vehicles. Some of these satellites are still orbiting the Earth, having provided, during their useful lifetime, weather data, earth resource information, direct television broadcasts and military communications. Many of these space projects were "first time ever" endeavors.
All those who would like to gather and remember Lew are invited to join the family from 2 - 4 P.M. on Saturday, May 20 at 13000 Shannondell Drive, Audubon, PA 19403. Burial will be private. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Planetary Society or The National Geographic Society.
