Martin Laufe Obituary

Laufe Martin Age 95, died on June 1, 2025, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Martin grew up in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, and went to college and medical school at the University of Pittsburgh. He met and married his beautiful wife Marilyn, now deceased, in Pittsburgh. Martin completed his residency and internship in Chicago, Illinois, and began to practice psychiatry. In 1974, he relocated with his family to Syracuse, New York, to become Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Upstate Medical Center. He subsequently entered private full time practice. In 1981, he and Marilyn moved to Philadelphia where Martin completed a residency in child psychiatry and Marilyn received a Master's Degree in Family Therapy. Martin and Marilyn then lived and worked in Southern New Jersey for over 20 years, before returning to Philadelphia. Subsequent to Marilyn's death in 2015, Martin met another wonderful woman, who became his partner. Martin is survived by his partner, his sons, David and Eric, his daughters, Hannah and her husband, Richard, and Anne and her husband, Mark, and Anne and Mark's two children, Sadie and Sam.
