Michael,
Tomorrow morning will be the Anniversary of your death and it's so hard to determine what the "right" way is to celebrate the memory of your life. We know the pain your family suffers in the wake of your absence. Help them find the peace necessary to move forward and identify the things in life that will celebrate the "fun" that you would want them to continue to have. Know that that love, thoughts, and care will be with you always . . . even by those of us who were not privilaged to know you as well.

Six months have gone by
since the day you left our side
each day we try to get through
all the while thinking of you
Every night before I go to bed
I make sure that my prayers are said
asking God to to pray for all
that have been so saddened by his call
I ask him to keep a watchful eye
on those left behind that cry
to somehow make their pain go away
this is what I duly pray
How full you life in heaven must be
with so many here praying to thee
asking for guidance and love
to be sent from our angels up above
The sadness of loosing you is still in the air
we see and feel you everywhere
we remember the good times that we had
it helps get through the when we are sad
Don't worry for we will be ok
slowly but surely we get through each day
know in your heart how we love thee
and soon more smiles you shall see
All our love and prayers to Al, Donna and Tracy

Christmas Angel
Christmas cheer is spreading
but you my friend seem to be untouched
I go to you full of care to try to cure your woe
You sit there sadly as smiling people go by
I come to you with a small frown,
as you make no notice of me
I sit beside you putting my hand on your shoulder
shaking you oh so lightly
But you ignore me with your empty eyes
staring into unknown lands
You my dear friend who I always saw
with a cheerful smile has had that smile taken away
I whisper in your ear
and a small smile comes to your lips
I reach in my pocket and place an item in your hand
You stare down at the little angel
with its cheerful face staring at you
For you my friend had seemed to forget
It is Christmas time my friend
and now the angels ring their bells
and visit their loved ones to let them know
they have a little guardian angel by their side
With love, Stephanie

Mike, what can I say. Even though you always made fun of me in elementary school because of my crazy hair, you still knew me. You will forever be in the thoughts of us all. You are gone but never forgotten.

To The Heplers,
Having known sweet, little Tracey since our children went to nursery school together,I have always seen you as such a loving family. Noticeably, Donna, your children always had a smile on their face just like their Mom. You are very much in my family's prayers. An entire community has been touched by your loss.
August 24, 2004
The HEPLERS,
Although we don't know your family, our hearts go out to all of you. We lost 2 young men in our family who died in other ways but the grief and sadness are still there. There's also happiness that they are with God and watching over us.
We also pray for the Bythrow family going through your sadness as well as the Knapp family who's child was with them. He needs understanding and prayers to go on.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in thee to help these families.

Alan, Donna, and Tracy,
There are no words that can express the grief we all feel for your family's loss of Michael. This tragedy is far reaching.
May the love and support of your family, friends, and community, provide you each with the strength necessary to pull through this difficult & challenging time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and each of the other families involved.

I know there are no words that can help ease your pain and suffering that your family is going through at this time of loss. We will keep you in our prayers during this time of sadness and ask God to give you the strength and comfort to heal your pain.
I know that our son David enjoyed the friendship he encountered with your son and will miss him dearly.

Mike,
You have left this world, but not our hearts!!!!
We miss you so much!!!
You will always be our 2nd son/brother,
Although you are no longer with us, we have memories that will last forever - like eating out at QP and the Chinese Buffet, running out for McDonald's sundaes, playing Pinochle, Rummo O, Kings in the Corner, and Monopoly, hanging out down in Bayberry Cove, swimming and walking the boardwalk in Ocean City, cutting your hair (sometimes a little too short - but you always looked cute) playing Sega and Playstation, and clowning around with Buffy and Angel.
Now you are in heaven, where you can play ball and cards (especially Poker) 24/7. Win lots of money!!!!
And you can ride your Jeep with the top off, not worrying about rain, with your CDs blasting through the speakers.
We pray for strength to accept this loss, but find comfort in knowing that you have become a beautiful guardian angel who will watch over all of us on earth.
We pray to God to give Donna, Al and Tracy strength. May they find comfort and support through the love of all their family and friends.
We must all remember:
Those we love remain with us,
for love itself lives on,
and cherished memories never fade
because a loved one's gone.
Those we love can never be more than a thought apart,
for as long as there is memory,
they'll live on in our hearts.
We will always love you Mike
Love, Krystle, Mommy B, Daddy B
and Kyle

No words to say...
What does one say when a life is taken away
two boys are gone, they were with us yesterday
I think Ill sit in silence right now
there are just no words to say...
If I give you a hug will it help at all
Should I just pray, staring at the wall
I think Ill sit in silence right now
there are just no words to say...
If we think of the happy times will it make us cry more
should we remember the silly things they did before
I think Ill sit in silence right now
there are just no words to say...
Yesterday we had two boys among us and now suddenly gone
We all reach out console, and wonder what went wrong
I think Ill sit in silence right now
there are just no words to say...
I sit and look upon the sky... wonder where they are
why did they leave us so... go away so far
I think Ill sit in silence right now
there are just no words to say...
I see two mothers cry in pain... two fathers asking why my son
two families, two losses, and makes no sense to anyone
I think Ill sit in silence right now
there are just no words to say...
I see a group of boys growing up so fast
trying to cope with the pain and loss of their friends that just passed
I think Ill sit in silence right now
there are just no words to say...
I see the other parents the pain in their eyes
as they reach out and hug their son as they walk by
I think Ill sit in silence right now
there are just no words to say...
How does one try to console and ease your pain
how can we reach you and take away your rain
I think Ill sit in silence right now
there are just no words to say...
We all feel your pain, your loss, your despair
please know we all love you and how we care
I think Ill sit in silence right now
there are just no words to say...
I sit and write this with tears in my eyes, and a deep pain in my heart. I send all my love to Mark and Margaret, Al and Donna, to the whole Bythrow and Hepler families. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and our prayers, as we shed our hearts and tears for the loss of Matthew and Michael
