Michael Krach Obituary

Krach Michael Of Newtown Square passed away peacefully on Friday, September 26 following a long illness. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Mike was an accomplished entrepreneur and former Vice President for Owens Corning. Born in Evansville, Indiana, he was the son of Fred and Marie (Wargel) Krach. Mike is survived by his wife of 33 years Pepper (Satterfield) Krach, and his sister-in-law Holly Krach. He was a proud father to Dr. Kent Krach, Kevin (Kristin) Krach, and Cathy (Chris) DeGiorgio, and a loving stepfather to Heather (Michael) Francis and Chad (Janessa) Smith. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren Maddy DeGiorgio, Jack DeGiorgio, Porter Krach, and step-grandchildren Amber Strouse, Kaylie Francis, Pepper Francis, Mikey Francis, Kira Smith, Riley Smith, and Brianna Smith. He is also remembered by many nieces and nephews, extended family, dear friends and his beloved dog Tilly. Mike earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame where he was a proud member of the National Championship football team and later received his MBA from Michigan State University. He was a member of Saint Norbert's Church, The Union League of Philadelphia and served as a guest lecturer at both the University of Notre Dame and the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business. He was honored with the Alumni Service Award from Notre Dame and served as a past President and lifetime Board Member of Tennessee Drug and Alcohol Council. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jerry Krach, Fred Krach, and Jack (Mary Ann) Krach. A Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025 from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. at Saint Norbert Church, 6 Greenlawn Road, Paoli, PA 19301, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment to follow at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, 352 S. Gulph Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mike's memory to the Rockne Athletics Fund at the University of Notre Dame: http://giving.nd.edu/krach-memorial.
