MY Friend And At Times A Tennis Partner-I Will Miss Him

Len and Roberta Podolin

December 15, 2017

Roberta and I are joined by Helene, Harriet and Roy in expressing our heartfelt sadness at your Dad's death. I was glad I had the opportunity to visit him several times before he passed, and especially the last couple of visits. The funeral service was very touching, with the clearly sincere and emotional remarks of so many of you.

I wanted to visit you during the Shiva, but as it happened, Roberta became ill on Thursday and Friday, and was hospitalized with a recurrence of C. Diff, which she first picked up in the hospital about 5 years ago and has been fighting ever since. She came home Tuesday, and is doing better.

We miss both of your parents. Roberta knew Jackie in junior high school, and we both enjoyed our long relationship with both of them for over 50 years. So many great memories.

Our condolences and best wishes to all of you.

The world cannot afford to lose a man of his magnitude. Norman had a genuine interest in people. He radiated joy when speaking of his children and grandchildren. Anyone fortunate enough to have known him knew he was full of charisma and integrity. We were
overjoyed when he came to visit us in Florida; and especially last Spring when he led the Passover seder in my friends home.
Little did we know it would be his last in Florida. He personified
the meaning of the word "mensch." His spirit will live on among
us.

I am so saddened by this loss, Norman was an inspiration to me in so many ways for my whole life. He was a remarkable man, a loving cousin, and my life is surely better for having loved him and been loved by him. I am sending your family my love and holding all of you in my heart. Although I am far away, I am with you all in spirit. Love never dies, it only changes form.
