Pat and I shared many fun times driving to PASFAA financial aid events such as yearly conferences. One year we came had four of us in the car. We all won some door prizes at the conference. Pat's car couldn't handle anymore so we were able to have others take them back to our schools for us. Another time there was a big traffic jam due to an accident on Rte 322 going to Penn State. I needed to visit a restroom and found a different route from someone. We got to the conference about 5 hours before everyone else who was stuck in the traffic jam. We would take turns calling one another. I called and emailed her often and when I stopped hearing from her, I thought something was wrong. My former supervisor was good enough to put a note in the mailbox of her house, but the new residents didn't call to let me know that she didn't live there anymore. Rest in peace, Pat. I'll have a Mass said for you at my parish. We were a great pair of traveling partners. I miss talking to you.
