RICHARD CHEW Obituary

CHEW RICHARD S., JR. 92, of Narberth, PA. died peacefully Thursday, December 31, 2020 at his home with family. He was born on December 21, 1928 in Boston, MA, the son of Richard S. Chew Sr. and Mary S. (nee Smith) Chew. He was married to Margaret Downey Chew until she passed away in 2009. He is survived by his daughter Alyce C. Chew; granddaughter, Cheyenne Stanley; son Richard S. Chew lll; daughter-in-law Virginia Chew and, grandson, Jacob Chew. Memorial Services will be held at a future date.

He was an amazingly positive man. An extremely gifted painter as well as a fine teacher of art who truely reached out to his students. Many of my friends from Episcopal Academy remember him fondly as a teacher they could really relate to and achieve small works of art that they didn’t think were possible. As his nephew I always enjoyed his detailed memories of his summers in Rhode Island which he still was able to offer into his ‘90’s. It meant a lot to me since I’m a part time resident of that lovely little historic neighborhood. Here’s to you Uncle Rick!

Richard is an amazing man and will be greatly missed. His daughter Alyce took such wonderful care of him. Richard is in heaven now with his beautiful wife! Rest In Peace Richard.
