Dick was such an important part of our small family on my mother's side and was a link to memories of the carefree good times of childhood, with Dick (then "Sonny") and his parents Aunt Esther and Uncle Sam. Although we had seen each other infrequently as adult life took us in different directions, that strong connection was always there when we did get together. I will miss him. I wish Allene, their children and grandchildren comfort from the memories that will live on with them.

Allene, Sheara, Davida, Nina & Danny, I fondly remember family occasions with all of you, especially those wonderful fourth of July cookouts at Sam & Esther's. (My mother was Beryl Fisher McCullough and my great-grandmother Ida was Dick's maternal aunt.) I was saddened to hear of his loss.
