D/C Mitchell was a wonderful man. I met him at the gym about 12 years ago. We actually watched the Eagles win the Super Bowl in 2018 together. What a great memory. Bob knew everyone at the gym. And had time for everyone. I always looked forward to our interactions. The gym will not be the same without him. God Bless

A great friend for 20+ years. Loved his family, Country and Philadelphia. Surprised not much written bout his passing. As Bob and I agreed on, many times, command is a lonely vigil!! Often referred to as strict, he was never referred to as not caring bout his people or the City. God speed old friend.

Very sorry to hear of D/C Mitchell´s passing. We worked out at the Phila Athletic Club years ago. What a solid guy - as good as it gets - and a true gentleman.

I am SO, SO saddened to hear this news. My husband (a PPD Lt), my son, and I all LOVED speaking with D/C Mitchell. I never addressed him by his first name; I felt it was respectful to call him Deputy. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Mitchell family, as well as those who know him through the PPD. Rest easy, Deputy Mitchell. You are missed and loved. We will continually feel your spirit in the gym.
