Brother Robert Schaefer & the Schaefer Family
Dear Celeste, Brother Robert, Mary Frances, Paul, John, Elizabeth, Michael, Brian, and Mary Jane:
I was saddened to learn of the death of your dear husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Robert J. Schaefer. At times such as these, words are unable to carry the full message of comfort and consolation which we want them to bear, but they are all we have. Having experienced the death of my own father in 1995, I am aware of the deep emotions which accompany such a loss. Be sure of continued remembrance of him in my prayers and those of all the Brothers at St. Mary's Hall.
May the Lord continue to hold you and all your family in the hollow of his hand and may you find his comforting presence in the silent power of prayer, in the wisdom of the Scripture, the nourishment of the Eucharist, the beauty of the liturgy, and in all his holy people gathered round you to help you.
I join my voice to the ancient hymn of the early Church:
May the angels lead him into Paradise.
May the martyrs come and welcome him on his way
And lead him into the holy city, Jerusalem.
May the choirs of angels welcome him.
And with Lazarus, who once was poor,
May he have everlasting life. Amen.
I close with the traditional prayer which we Brothers have prayed for over three hundred years:
Live Jesus in our hearts--Forever.
With sympathy and promise of prayers,
Your Brother,
Sharon Kershner Dunlap

Dear Schaefer Family,
Mr. Schaefer had a way of making others feel at ease. He was sincere in his words and quick with a smile. I have many fond" Maple Glen memories" of him and your family. I imagine the Lord's words “Well done, my good and faithful servant” were heard in heaven when he arrived. I am praying that you will find comfort in our faith in Jesus and all that he promised to those who follow him.

Dear Celeste and Family,
Susi and I were most saddened to learn
of Bob's passing. He was more than a
business colleague: he was a friend.
We regret that life took us on different paths and we lost touch.
We loved him very much.
Our love and great sympathy for your loss.

Having lived next door to the Schaefer's in Maple Glen for almost 20 years I have so many wonderful memories of Mr.Schaefer.. He was and always will be one of my most favorite people. My heart breaks for the family.. I take comfort knowing he is up in heaven in the loving arms of our Lord, reunited w/ my dad and all the other neighbors and friends that have passed before him.
He will definately be missed.
